Do you customize your presentations or workshops?

Yes, Catherine does.  She just doesn't place the company name on the materials like many speakers.  She talks, when appropriate, with audience members and organizational personnel, scans trade publications.  The end results:  (1) handouts that include your theme, company information, or whatever you choose; (2) a presentation, if possible that include stories and humor that go with your industry.

How long is your presentations or workshops?

Catherine's custom presentations are designed to fit your available time from 30 minutes to several days. She also adapts or expands when unexpectedly needs to.  Her workshops run from 1 hour to all day.

How can we get extra value by engaging Catherine?

Many groups that hire me to do one presentation also have me do a breakout or have me involved in some other part of their event.  You get a discount on the second part and it saves you travel costs because she's already there.  Catherine has been to many exciting events and will offer suggestions that will contribute to the success of the event.

What is your business background?

Catherine was a CPA for many years with her own practice.  Starting with nothing in the bank, just recently divorced, a single parent of two, she opened a retail store in Occoquan with barters and promises that turned into a profit in six months.  She has co-owned and managed several restaurants, including a Chinese-food carryout establishment.  One restaurant was sold for a profit one year after it was considered financially unrecoverable.  The other was closed due to relocation of a major road thus resulting in site security.  She has four two-year degrees in Computer Information Systems, Accounting, Business and Liberal Arts, a bachelor's in Accounting and a Masters in Psychology.  Currently, she is a full-time professional personal and business coach, speaker / workshop leader, and writer.  She plans on publishing her books beginning in early 2001.

What are your hobbies and other background or interests?

Her favorite hobbies are reading, journaling and listening to others.  Her favorite sport is tennis.  She is a breast cancer survivor of 5 years, been through a divorce 15 years ago.  Catherine does not smoke, nor consume alcohol.

How do you handle expenses?

Your proposal will include an estimate on expenses.  She tries to travel coach whenever possible.  A daily per diem is charged for food.  Hotel room can be provided by you at the event or within one or two blocks of the event.  If separate event, then this will be discussed.  Catherine does not fly red-eye flight with less than 8 hours sleep.  She wants to be bright-eyed and bushy tailed and properly prepared for your event.  Transportation at the destination can be provided by you, otherwise, taxis, or rental car is part will be added as part of the deposit.

Any special services for disabled attendees?

Materials are available in Braille at an additional cost.  Sign language person can also be obtained for most cities.

What do you need from us?

As soon as Catherine receives a signed proposal and deposit she will begin her pre-program research as well as send you a questionnaire about the event.  Please provide any back issues (3 months) of your industry trade publications, newsletters, corporate reports and a list of three to five attendees and three organizational heads to be interviewed.  The number may go up or down depending on the event size, duration of the event.
